The main floor features a large fully stocked kitchen which is open to the Main Living Room and Dining areas that overlook the river with a gorgeous panoramic view of the tree tops. The outside patio deck and gas grill are also located right off the main kitchen. The patio deck is equipped with two large umbrella tables with seating for 14. The Lower Level is ground level to the river, the large back yard and the large outdoor fire pit. It is complete with a small kitchenette and great views of the river as well. The Guest House directly next to the Main house has 4 additional bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a small kitchenette along with it’s own concrete driveway. NOTICE: there are a handful of bedrooms that have to be passed through in order to exit the building/access a bathroom. It's yard is one of the largest yards you will find along the river and is fully shaded by 100 plus year old pecan trees and features landscape lighting throughout the property for easy night time navigation. The patio on the back allows you to take in the wonderful river view. ** Please note the house is not handicap accessible by any code or standard. We have however had a number of guests with limited mobility say they found it very well suited for there needs but they likely did bring a shower chair and had some assistance during shower time, etc. Note there are 2 steps at the front door entry of the home. Based on previous guests feedback they consider the house to be "handicap friendly" noting it has proven to work well for them. One main reason our guests rent this home is that the first floor/street level of the Main house is all one level and has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms,1 half bathroom, direct access to the Main Kitchen, Living room and back Patio overlooking the large yard and river view. These features are perfect for guests who may need a walker or wheelchair to get around or have trouble with constant elevation changes. With almost everything they need all in one level of the home it’s the ideal location for them without the worry of getting around in an unknown home. Great, quiet place on the Guadalupe River east of New Braunfels about 15 minutes. Near Lake McQueeny. This section of the river is called Lake Placid. It is suitable for boating, skiing, jet-skiing, fishing, swimming, but not tubing (like on the upper Guadalupe). There is a shady, sweeping lawn of carpet-grass and pecan trees down to the water. You will enjoy sitting on the deck and watching the boats and wakeboarders buzz up and down the river or playing volleyball at the net. There are only four houses on this section of the river (and on a dead end street) so very little traffic around you. Great for bicycling for the kids. Inside you will find everything you need. There are folding beds in the master closet for additional sleeping besides the king and queen-size beds in the two bedrooms. Fun Décor, New TV's in Master bedroom and den. Fish Camp is it’s own unique apartment space.  Open the door and walk down the hombre blue (thats a fancy way of saying really cool) basement steps.  You will be greeted with red leather couches, a gigantic flat screen TV and sound system.  The Fish Camp has its own fridge, microwave and full bathroom.  Behind the sliding barn doors you will find 2 queen beds, flat screen TV with DVD player, dresser and large closet.  There are also 2 mattressed twin cots to add additional sleepers.  The large sectional couch and ottoman make a full bed as well. This by far has been the most complimented and praised area of the house! The living area boasts a large kitchen and island with seating for six facing the views of the lake that span the entire back of the house. The includes a large sectional and two occasional chairs on one side of the kitchen with another seating area on the opposite side with four occasional chairs with coffee table that makes a great game nook or spot for morning coffee that overlooks the lake views. The house also boasts a large pantry and utilities/laundry room. It comes fully furnished and well-equipped with all staples necessary for a fun week at the lake! There are chairs and ottomans on the large upstairs patio and also two separate furniture groups on the downstairs patio, so plenty of room for all to enjoy the space! The home is stocked with plenty of games to enjoy indoors and out, including cornhole boards, a lily pad float, and a few lounging floats for the water. Our home is simple but a fun place to be with waterfront on Lake Placid. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full. Both bathrooms have a shower/tub combination. The living room has a sectional sofa with ottoman, large round chair, and a futon for extra room to "camp out" in front of the TV. There is a DVD player and a rack with movies. The kitchen is equipped with a stove/ oven, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, and plates, silverware, etc. There is also a washer and dryer. The outside features two sides of porch. The back porch faces the water where there are two double seats, a chair, and a single person swing. For dining outside , there are several choices for seating and there is a grill located by the larger table and chairs. The dock is also great for fishing (must have a licence). Bring your own boat or jet ski. There are life vest in many sizes. We are not responsible for anything that happens in the water. We are at a quieter part of the lake. Most boats choose to turn around when they get to our property. By the water is a hammock to just lay back and relax. There is also a pavilion there so your group can sit back while watching the others in the water. There are four chairs there, but have 4 more close by. We have a volleyball net and some toys for kids that you are welcome to use. If you are interested in having a small group there during the day, please let us know. We have no objection to small gatherings, but must be courteous to the neighbors. We do allow pets. We do not have the fee listed when you rent because we do not want to charge those who do not have a pet. The fee is $50. FYI Please keep in mind that you will get some exercise due to an incline between the water and house.

The backyard has a covered deck with a small view of the lake and a table with umbrella, and is fully fenced for your furry friends (Add'l $40/night for pets). Relax on our front porch with a cup of coffee or play a game of corn hole or horseshoes in our shaded backyard. If you are a member of the Ski Lodge or a guest of a member, we are 50 yards from there, an easy walk. The main living room offers a comfy sectional linen couch with nice flat screen TV and high quality furnishings. Near by is a nice area for some card playing and a fireplace with a desk area to get some work done in the living room area. Upstairs offers the Master bedroom with bath and large walk in closet great for extra blow up bed or a crib/playpen area for your little one to sleep. Also a queen bedroom upstairs and an area off the room in hall with a nice desk to work while you stay that is more private looking out the windows at the lake. Downstairs has 2 queen bedrooms one with full bath with the TV room offering 3 single beds and nice large leather sofa for extra sleeping space. Also in this area is the Laundry nook and a bathroom with shower. 1/2 bath in hall by the kitchen. There is a wonderful outdoor patio with access from the kitchen and hall by bedrooms. Enjoy your coffee outside on patio or down by the waters edge on dock with the Hot Tub (Fancy Kind) or up top on the deck with sectional furniture.
